Devonport is situated on the banks of the Mersey River and is the home port of the 'Spirit of Tasmania'. Being a city by the sea, Devonport makes the most of its picturesque coastline by providing walking tracks which lead from the city centre, along the foreshore parklands, all the way round to Mersey Bluff Beach. Devonport has much to offer its residents and visitors with a variety of restaurants, cafes and museums plus many sporting facilities.
